The Henry is the one you'd be happy to offer. Clean and modular as a sofa, a proper mattress when it opens out — sprung or foam, whichever suits. It runs from an armchair to a four-seater, or a full L-shape with a chaise, so it fits the room and the way you'll use it. Made to order on an FSC-certified European wood frame, handmade in Europe, in four fabric grades and a choice of four wood legs.

Does the Henry work as a proper bed?

Yes — that's the point of it. Unlike a thin fold-out, the Henry opens into a bed on a real mattress, and you choose between a bonell or a foam one. For a guest bed you'll actually use, that mattress choice makes a genuine difference to how well someone sleeps.

What's the difference between the bonell and foam mattress?

The bonell mattress is sprung, for a more supportive, traditional-bed feel; the foam is a firmer, more uniform surface. For regular use, the sprung bonell is often the more comfortable long-term choice — but the decision is yours and mattress comfort is subjective. 

Can the Henry be built as a corner?

Yes. The Set 1 and Set 2 configurations, and the chaise option, build the Henry into an L-shape — left or right facing — that still converts to a bed. Tell us your room and we'll configure it to suit.

What sizes does it come in?

As an Armchair, 3 Seater, 4 Seater, or Set 1 and Set 2 (left or right facing), with an optional chaise. 

What legs does it come with?

Four wood options — no. 91, no. 141A, no. 152 and no. 153. Specify your choice with us at order.

What fabric options are available?

Four fabric grades, Grade 2 through Grade 5. The higher the grade, the more natural the fibre content — Grade 5 has the least synthetic content and the most natural fibres, including linen. Confirm your chosen fabric name with us at purchase. Samples are available in our Cork showroom.

Is the frame sustainably sourced?

Yes. The Henry is built with FSC®-certified solid European wood and handmade in Europe.

Are the measurements exact?

The Henry is handmade, and SITS states a tolerance of ±2cm on all elements. Allow for this, and for the extra depth when the bed is opened.

How long does the Henry take to arrive?

Approximately 8 weeks from production to delivery.

How does payment work?

You can pay in full at checkout, or choose the 50% deposit option. With the deposit, you're charged 50% today and the remaining 50% is invoiced to you before delivery — you won't be charged the balance until your Henry is ready.

Can I see the fabrics before I order?

Yes. Fabric samples are available. Visit us in Douglas, Cork, or book a video consultation.
