Returns, Refunds & Cancellations


In-Store Purchases

If you have changed your mind or are unhappy with your purchase, please let us know within 14 days of purchase. The item must be returned in perfect, unused, and undamaged condition, accompanied by your original receipt.

On receipt of the returned item in re-saleable condition, we will issue a credit note to the value of your purchase.

Please note:

  • We reserve the right to refuse a return if the item is not in re-saleable, as-sold condition — meaning undamaged and unused.
  • Returns will not be accepted without an original receipt.
  • The following items are exempt from return or exchange:

Mattresses · Gift cards · Sale and promotional items · Special orders · Custom and made-to-order items (including bespoke sofas, dining tables, armchairs, and any furniture made or tailored to your specifications) · Clearance, ex-display, and sold-as-seen items


Online & Telephone Orders — Your Right of Withdrawal

Under EU consumer protection law, if you purchase goods online or by telephone, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving your goods, without giving a reason. This is your statutory right of withdrawal under the EU Consumer Rights Directive.

To exercise your right of withdrawal online, use the "Cancel My Order" button in your order confirmation email or in your order history on our website.

This will prompt you to:

  1. Confirm your withdrawal request
  2. Provide your name and order reference
  3. Receive an automatic email confirmation with a record of your request

Conditions for return:

  • Items must be in "as new" condition — unassembled, unused, and in their original undamaged packaging.
  • You are responsible for the cost of returning goods to us.
  • We cannot accept liability for items lost, stolen, or damaged in transit. We recommend using a tracked and insured delivery service.
  • Once we receive and inspect the returned item, your refund will be issued to your original payment method.

The 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply to:

Mattresses (for hygiene reasons) · Gift cards · Sale and promotional items · Special orders · Custom, made-to-order, or personalised items — including bespoke sofas, dining tables, armchairs, and any furniture crafted or tailored to your specifications · Clearance, ex-display, and sold-as-seen items


Faulty or Damaged Items

Please inspect all items at the point of delivery. If you notice any fault or damage, report it to us immediately at customercare@podfurniture.ie.

If a manufacturing fault becomes apparent after delivery, please, contact our customer care team. We aim to respond within 5 working days.

Your statutory rights under Irish and EU consumer law are not affected by this policy.


Custom, Made-to-Order & Special Order Items

The following items are not eligible for cancellation, return, or exchange once an order has been placed:

  • Bespoke and custom-made sofas — including any sofa built to your chosen fabric, configuration, or dimensions
  • Made-to-order dining tables — including custom sizes, finishes, or materials
  • Made-to-order armchairs — including fabric and finish selections
  • Any furniture crafted or tailored specifically to your requirements
  • Special orders — items not held in standard stock that are ordered in on your behalf
  • Sale items — items purchased at a reduced or promotional price

This is because these items are produced or procured specifically for you and cannot be resold.

The 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply to goods made to a consumer's specifications or clearly personalised, as provided under the EU Consumer Rights Directive and the Consumer Rights Act 2022.
