A tailored sofa, built to your room, and made to hold its look.
Vera Custom 3 Seater - FAQs
What makes the SITS Vera different?
Its tailored, slightly formal character. Where many sofas are soft and casual, the Vera is neater and more considered — a fixed, fitted cover, a slightly higher back cushion, and the detailing of a well-made piece. It's a custom sofa, designed by Ian Archer and handcrafted in Europe. If you want a sofa that dresses a room up rather than down, that's the Vera.
Are the covers removable?
No — the Vera is designed with a fixed cover, fitted to the frame. That's what gives it its neat, tailored line. It isn't a loose-cover sofa, so the covers aren't removable for washing.
What's the difference between Standard and Lux filling?
It comes down to what's inside the cushions. Standard filling uses foam flakes and silicone balls with polyurethane foam. Lux filling adds chambers of feathers mixed with silicone balls over foam, for a softer, plumper sit with more give. Standard is the firmer, lower-maintenance option; Lux is the softer, more indulgent one — feather fillings feel more relaxed but benefit from regular plumping to keep their shape. Prices are based on Standard filling; Lux is an upgrade — ask us and we'll talk you through both, or try them in the showroom.
What legs does it come with?
A choice of wood (no.201, in wood) or metal (no.202, in chrome or painted black). Prices are based on the oiled wood legs; specify a different leg or colour with us at order.
Is the Vera certified?
Yes — Vera carries FSC® certification, meaning the wood is sourced from responsibly managed forests.
Are there eco-friendly fabric options?
Yes — SITS offers a range of eco-friendly fabrics, like Nori.
Are there easy-clean or washable fabric options?
Some SITS fabrics are easier to clean than others. Because the Vera has a fixed cover, a more washable fabric is cleaned in place rather than removed — the cover can't be taken off for laundering.
Is the Vera available in other sizes?
Yes. This page is the three-seater, but the Vera is a custom, modular design — it comes as an armchair, love seat, a larger 3XL seater, and corner and chaise sets. See all Vera options or contact us to build one to your room.
What fabric options are available?
The Vera comes in five fabric grades — Grade 1 through Grade 5. Grade 1 contains the highest proportion of synthetic fibres; Grade 5 the least, with the most natural fibres including linen. There's a wide choice of colours and textures across the grades, including eco-friendly and easier-care options. Samples are available in our Cork showroom.
How long does the Vera take to arrive?
Approximately 8 weeks from production to delivery.
How does payment work?
Two options: settle it in full at checkout, or pay a 50% deposit to get started and clear the balance nearer delivery. With the deposit, only half is taken today — we invoice the rest once your Vera is built and ready to go, so there are no surprises along the way.
Can I see the fabrics before I order?
Yes. Fabric samples are available. Visit us in Douglas, Cork, or book a video consultation.
