Most modular sofas give you straight lines and corners. The SITS Stella adds something they don't — a curved-back option, with a genuinely curved frame rather than an angled join. Build it straight as an armchair, two or three seater, step up to a 3.5 seater or an L-shape, or take the curve. It's a fully modular system, so it comes in the shape your room asks for. Choose a standard or lux filling, a fixed cover or a removable one, and from five fabric tiers running from hardwearing Grade 1 up to natural Linen. Made to order over roughly 12 weeks, with headrests, armrest protection and a choice of legs to finish it.

What makes the Stella different from other modular sofas?

The curved-back option. The Stella can be built with a genuinely curved frame — a true curve rather than an angled corner join — which none of our other modular sofas offer. If you have a bay window, an open-plan space or simply want a softer line than a standard corner, the curve is what sets the Stella apart.

Is a curved sofa a good choice for a bay window?

Often, yes. A curved sofa can follow the line of a bay window or fill a rounded or open-plan space more naturally than a straight sofa with hard corners. Because the Stella is made to order, we can configure the curve to suit your specific space — send us your room measurements or a photo and we'll advise before you commit.

How do I measure for a curved sofa?

Measure the full width and depth of the area the sofa will sit in, and note any bay, alcove or walkway it needs to work around. A curved sofa's footprint is different from a straight one, so it's worth getting the measurements to us before ordering — bring or send them and we'll confirm the right configuration and check it fits comfortably.

Can I have the Stella as an L-shape?

Yes. Alongside the curved option, the Stella builds as a straight sofa or an L-shape, in left or right-facing set configurations. Tell us which way your room runs and we'll build it to suit.

Is the Stella made by SITS?

Yes. The Stella is part of the SITS collection — a modular sofa system known for its configurability and its curved-back option. We build it to order for you here at Pod Furniture, with delivery and assembly across Ireland.

What sizes does the Stella come in?

As an armchair, 2 seater, 3 seater, 3.5 seater (in a two- or three-cushion seat split), L-shape and set configurations. It's fully modular, so if none fits your room exactly, use our custom sofa form or contact us and we'll build it around your space.

What is the difference between the two- and three-cushion 3.5 seater?

Both are the same width. The two-cushion version splits the seat across two larger cushions for a cleaner line; the three-cushion version defines individual seats more clearly. It's a visual and seating preference — contact us and we'll show you both.

What covers are available?

Two options: a Fixed cover, upholstered in place for a clean, tailored finish, or a Loose Cover with Velcro, which is removable. If being able to take the covers off matters to you, choose the Loose Cover with Velcro. Care requirements vary by fabric grade — ask us before ordering if washability is a priority.

What's the difference between the fabric grades?

There are five tiers — Grade 1 through Grade 4, plus a natural Linen option at the top. The higher the tier, the more natural fibre in the fabric: Linen has the least synthetic content and the most natural fibre. Grade choice affects both the feel and the price. Samples are available so you can compare before deciding.

What legs does it come with?

Pricing is based on no.153 legs in oiled oak, but a range of other leg styles and finishes is available. Specify your choice with us, as it can affect the price.

How deep is the seat?

The Stella's seat depth is 59cm.

Can I add headrests or armrest protection?

Yes, both are available to order, along with a matching footstool. Contact us for options and pricing.

How long does the Stella take to arrive?

Approximately 12 weeks from production to delivery.

How does payment work?

You can pay in full at checkout, or choose the 50% deposit option. With the deposit, you're charged 50% today and the remaining 50% is invoiced to you before delivery — you won't be charged the balance until your Stella is ready.

Can I see the fabrics before I order?

Yes. Fabric samples are available. Visit us in Douglas, Cork, or book a video consultation and we'll take you through the tiers in person.
