Casual and classic, built to your room. The Julia is the more traditional side of the range — a transitional sofa that sits as easily in a relaxed family room as a more formal one. Its character is in the detail: raw maple turned legs, antique brass casters, and two bolster pillows that give a more upright, supported sit against the deep, soft seat cushions and firm pitched back.

It's a SITS modular system, so it builds from a two-seater up through three and four-seater configurations, including round-divided and set layouts, in left or right-facing forms. Choose a Classic or Lux comfort, a removable Velcro cover, and from five fabric tiers running to natural Linen. Made to order in around 8 weeks, configured to suit your interior.

What makes the Julia different from other SITS sofas?

Its character. The Julia is the classic, transitional one — raw maple turned legs, antique brass casters and bolster pillows give it a more traditional look than the contemporary sofas in the range, while the modular system keeps it as configurable as any of them. If you want a sofa that leans classic but still builds to your room, the Julia is it.

Is the Julia a corner sofa?

The Julia is a modular system that builds into corner and L-shape layouts using its set, chaise longue and divan configurations, left or right-facing. It also offers round-divided configurations for a softer, curved run. Tell us your room and we'll configure it to suit.

What sizes does the Julia come in?

As a 2 seater, 3 seater, 3 seater XL, and 4 seater, including round-divided versions, plus Set 2 and Set 3 configurations in left or right-facing forms. An armchair is also available to order. It's fully modular, so if none fits exactly, use our custom sofa form or contact us and we'll build it around your space.

What is the small versus big back cushion option?

The Julia can be built with small back cushions for a neater, more upright look, or big back cushions for a softer, more relaxed one. It changes both the appearance and the feel of the sit. 

What covers are available?

The Julia comes in a Loose Cover with Velcro, which is removable for cleaning. Care requirements vary by fabric tier — ask us before ordering if washability is a priority.

What's the difference between the fabric tiers?

There are five tiers — Grade 1 through Grade 4, plus a natural Linen option. The higher the tier, the more natural fibre in the fabric: Linen has the least synthetic content and the most natural fibre. Samples are available so you can compare before deciding.

What legs does it come with?

Pricing is based on no.153 legs in oiled oak, but a range of other leg styles and finishes is available, including wood and metal options. Specify your choice with us, as it can affect the price. 

How deep is the seat?

The sofa seat depth is 55cm; the armchair seat is 43cm. Seat height is 47cm.

Are footstools available?

Yes, in three sizes to order — a round 96cm, a 90 × 50cm, and a 66 × 48cm (for the armchair). Contact us for options and pricing.

Are the measurements exact?

The Julia is handmade, and SITS states a tolerance of +/– 2cm on all elements. Allow for this when planning a tight space.

How long does the Julia take to arrive?

Approximately 8 weeks from production to delivery.

How does payment work?

You can pay in full at checkout, or choose the 50% deposit option. With the deposit, you're charged 50% today and the remaining 50% is invoiced to you before delivery — you won't be charged the balance until your Julia is ready.

Can I see the fabrics before I order?

Yes. Fabric samples are available. Visit us in Douglas, Cork, or book a consultation and we'll take you through the tiers in person.
