Some sofas hold you up. The Nova lets you sink in. Its cushions are a feather-and-chopped-foam mix over a pocket-spring base — soft on top, supported underneath, so it stays comfortable rather than flattening into the frame over time. The seat runs a deep 110cm front to back, built for the long Sunday rather than the quick sit. Around that comfort sits a clean, contemporary frame: fixed cushions with a loose fit, covered sides, and the choice to build it as a 3 seater, a 5 seater, one of two L-shapes or an Open L Shape, facing left or right. What makes the Villa Nova different from the other Villa sofas?

The Nova is the soft, deep one. Its cushions are a feather-and-chopped-foam mix over pocket springs with a deep seat built for lounging and sinking into for long, relaxed sitting. If you want a firmer or more upright sofa, look at the Alpine or Nori; if it's deep, soft lounging you're after, the Nova is the Villa sofa built for it.

What are the cushions filled with?

A feather-and-chopped-foam mix over a pocket-spring base. Feather-filled cushions give a soft, relaxed seat and benefit from regular plumping to keep their shape — that's part of the character of this kind of sofa, not a fault.

What sizes and configurations does the Nova come in?

A 3 Seater, a 5 Seater, two L-shapes (L Shape 301 and the larger L Shape 415) and an Open L Shape. Every L-shape and corner can face left or right. If none fits your room exactly, the Nova is fully customisable — use our custom sofa form or contact us and we'll build the configuration around your space.

What's the difference between L Shape 301 and L Shape 415?

They're two sizes of the same L-shape layout, the 415 being the larger. Which suits you depends on your room — send us your measurements and we'll confirm the fit before you order. 

Can I have the L-shape or corner facing left or right?

Yes. Every module mirrors left to right, so L-shape, corner and chaise configurations can face either direction. Tell us which way your room runs and we'll build it to suit.

What fabric options are available?

Five fabric grades (Grade 1 through Grade 5). The Nova is a fabric sofa and isn't offered in leather. Please note the grade you choose and confirm the fabric name with us at the point of purchase. Samples are available —  feel free to visit us in Douglas, Cork. We're located in Units 102, 107 and 108, Patrick's Mills. 

What legs does it have?

The Nova comes on black plastic legs. 

Are the cushions fixed or loose?

The Nova has fixed cushions with a loose-fit cover, and covered sides.

Are footstools and deco cushions available?

Yes, both to order. Contact us for options and pricing.

Are the measurements exact?

The Nova is handmade using soft materials, so measurements can vary slightly on any module. Allow for this when planning a tight space.

Is the Villa Nova certified?

Yes. The Villa collection carries FSC certification — the wood is sourced from responsibly managed forests and traceable through the entire production process. Upholstery fabrics are Oeko-Tex® certified, containing no allergy-promoting or harmful chemicals and produced under safe social and environmental conditions.

How long does the Villa Nova take to arrive?

How does payment work?

You will be charged 50% upon ordering, and the remaining 50% will be invoiced to you before delivery.

Can I see the fabrics before I order?

Yes. Fabric samples are available. Visit us in Douglas, Cork, or book a free consultation and we'll take you through the grades in person. Available also video consultations.
